Volunteers are truly a gift to the community! Si View volunteers help with seasonal events and projects, from one time clean-up parties to ongoing program assistance. Our youth recreation basketball program alone has nearly 100 volunteer each season assisting with coaching, refereeing and team coordination. We appreciate all our volunteers and invite YOU to join the team. Together we can do so much more!
Looking for a community service project for your group? We can accommodate youth groups, scouts, church groups and more. From planting, brush clearing, painting, and more, we can work with your specific goals.
Thanks to the efforts of Girl Scout Troop 45484 members Katie, Stephanie and Abby, Si View Park now has a permanent gaga ball pit. The idea for this Girl Scout Silver Award project came from Stephanie, who is part of Si View's after school and summer programs. She talked to her troop about how Si View had an inflatable one that was loved by the kids, but it kept getting holes and needed repairs. The idea was proposed to Si View staff who agreed that a permanent gaga pit would be well used and enjoyed. The girls did several fundraising activities such as Girl Scout Fall product sales, holiday bazaars and finished off with the annual cookie sales for the project.
The girls hope that the Gaga Pit will bring together friends, families and community groups. They are excited to share the fun of playing a game they enjoy with Si View kids. A big thank you to Zach & Dave at Si View who helped make this project happen and were wonderful to work with.
Ready to play? Gaga ball rules are simple, and posted onsite, ready for your next park visit! The gaga ball pit is located near the zipline playground.
