Specialized Recreation

We are pleased to offer Specialized Recreation programs for community members with disabilities. Our goal is to provide an inclusive environment for specialized programming, and we encourage participation from all. Parents & caregivers are welcome to join at no cost. For more information about our specialized recreation program, please contact Zach Todd at 425-414-0672.

Specialized Recreation staff are here to provide leadership to the programs. They are unable to provide attendant care (toilet transfers, feeding, giving medication, etc.) or provide one-on-one behavior management care. Attendants may be required but can participate in our programs free of charge when assisting participants who need one-on-one assistance.

Winter Crafts
Paint and glue, we want to color with you! Join us for an evening of Winter-themed arts & crafts projects at Si View Community Center and take home your masterpiece. This night is sure to be full of great company, laughs, and fun!

Valentines' Day celebration
It's time to celebrate! Join us for a Valentines celebration. We will make cards and have a great day celebrating with our friends! This night is sure to bring smiles during the winter blues, join us for laughs and fun.

Games Night
Calling all competitors! Come join us for a few rounds of Si View Bingo and then time to play your favorite boardgames and hangman. We have prizes for our competitors. You won't want to miss out on this fun!

Movie & Treats
Join us for a movie and popcorn! Dress comfortably and bring some snacks to enjoy. The movie starts at 6pm. We will have some baked treats to share.

Taco Dinner!
Join us for a delicious dinner of Tacos! We will have games and crafts available while things cook, then you get to dish up your perfect taco. Feel free to bring your favorite ingredients or toppings.

St. Patrick's Day Celebration
Remember to wear your green! It is time to celebrate St. Patrick's Day with a fun night of themed games and crafts! If you are lucky, you could find the Leprechauns gold coins.

Painting and Pizza
What is better than a night painting with friends? A night with pizza painting, and friends! Join us for a delicious pizza dinner before we grab our paintbrushes to create a masterpiece. Feel free to bring your own dinner if pizza isn't your thing.

Spring Crafts
As the snow melts away and the trees start to bloom, we are excited to craft with you. Time to put winter behind us and send off this season with a fun spring craft! Treats provided by us, just bring your creativity and smile.

Specialized Recreation Mini Series

We are excited to continue programming with our Mini series. Come join us for fun activities all Winter! from group dinners, to arts n' crafts, games and more! Parents/Caretakers are free to join but not required to stay during program. The Monday night fun continues for December and January!

Special People's Holiday Cruise

Come join us for our annual holiday cruise sponsored by Seafair. Our group will set sail from Meydenbauer Yacht Club. Snacks and drinks are provided and we will have an opportunity to take a picture with Santa! Transportation to and from Bellevue provided.

Si View Specialized Recreation

Si View Internship

We are excited to provide valuable job experience for our specialized recreation community. Interns work side by side with the Si View recreation team and learn the ins and outs of several key functions of the department. Schedule includes once per week shift at Si View Community Center and position is eligible for pay. Those interested should contact Zach Todd, .

Michelle is a proponent and enthusiast of lifelong learning. She is an educator and coach committed to inspiring community and connection through dynamic activities and opportunities. She is an accomplished advocate for inclusion and diversity at all levels of education. She holds a Master's Degree in Special Education. Family is at the heart of Michelle's day to day. Michelle is always ready for adventure and exploration of new places, whether it is by a hike, road trip or travel abroad.
