Si View Youth Sports & Fitness - Recreational Basketball

2014 Recreation Basketball League Skill Sessions Schedule - Click Here

Recreation Basketball Skill Sessions
We welcome all youth basketball players to attend our skill sessions hosted in the Snoqualmie Valley. Our skill sessions are designed for our coaches/evaluators to see the skill level of all youth basketball players while allowing our youth to display their abilities before the basketball season begins. This is a great way for the kids to meet some of the coaches that could possibly be working with them throughout the upcoming season. These sessions are NOT tryouts as all kids who register for league play and attend at least one of the sessions will be placed on a roster for the season ahead. We will have two separate dates to host our skill sessions in which we encourage kids to attend both but at least one is required. From here teams will be set and rosters will be developed in the few weeks before the season begins.

Winter Recreation Basketball League
Whether it is a child’s first time picking up a basketball or child who wishes to hone their skill level, this league represents an experience focused on creating a fun and educational environment for all ages. Each division will consist of two grade levels for both boys and girls accept for our Kindergarten league which will only consist of that grade level for boys and girls (Kindergarten, 1-2, 3-4, 5-6). The goal is to have most kids play on a team with players from their respective schools. Teams will be generally formed by age and school, however some cross over is likely. Our K-2nd grade divisions start their season in December while the 3rd-6th grades start in January. Participants will have the opportunity to attend weekly practices to work on the basic fundamentals of the game and to be involved in a team environment. Upon the teams being formulated games will be scheduled according to gym availability. Games will be played on Saturday mornings and early afternoons.

NEW!Middle and High School Basketball Recreation League
The basketball opportunities do not stop with just kids in the Snoqualmie Valley. Si View MPD is eager to offer a NEW program for Middle and High School kids around the area. Our new Basketball League will be offered to both boys and girls. The structure of the league will mirror a collegiate intramural setting. Kids can form their own teams and can have as many as 10 players to a roster or a minimum of 5 players to a roster. The league will be self-officiated with a site monitor on hand to keep score and maintain the atmosphere. Teams need to have same color jerseys or shorts. We can provide jerseys on site if needed. PLEASE register as a team. If there are individuals that do not have a team we will try to place those participants on a team or form a team of individual players. There will be no practices only games on Saturdays. For further questions or interest please contact Aaron Colby at (425) 831-1900 or at .

Volunteer Recreational Basketball Coaches Needed!

Our Basketball Programs would not be the success it is without the time and dedication of our Volunteer Coaches! Every year we have over 80+ coaching positions available. Looking for individuals that are passionate about their sport and enjoying working with youth. We have positions available for recreation teams that require very little experience in basketball with a time commitment of 2.5 hours per week. Travel coaches require some basketball coaching and/or playing experience with a time commitment of 4-5 hours during the week and 3-4 hours during the weekend. If there is any interest in being a volunteer coach, please contact Aaron Colby at (425) 831-1900 or email .

Thank you to our youth sports volunteers!!
Winter weekends are a busy time for Si View Youth Sports with two overlapping youth basketball leagues, the Si View recreational league for K-6 graders and a more competitive Wildcat travel league for 5-8 graders. With 600 young players and nearly 800 games under the belt last season, we had a fantastic time working with the kids, seeing their skills and confidence develop over the course of the winter.
The basketball program would not be possible without a dedicated group of nearly 100 volunteers, who helped out with many tasks from coaching to assistants to team managers - thank you for your contributions!
