Si View Community Foundation has announced 2018 scholarship recipients of the Snoqualmie Valley Track Club Scholarship Program. Paxson Russell and Bray Russell have helped with the track club and cross country programs for several years, exhibiting excellence in sportsmanship, leadership and volunteerism. Paxson Russell will be attending Westmont College and Bray Russell is headed to Chapman University in the Fall. Congratulations to both!
The SVTC scholarship program rewards youth who exhibit the characteristics of sportsmanship, leadership, and volunteerism, who at the same time wish to further their own personal development via higher education and training. For more information about the scholarship program, click here.
Our Junior Wildcat Track Club is run by volunteer coaching staff who are passionate about the sport and enjoy working with youth. Our volunteer coaches work with young athletes ages 5-14 on sprints, distance running, and field events including jumping and throwing events. Volunteer commitment is 3-4 hours per week during the summer season. High school athletes who volunteer a minimum of 24 hours with SVTC may be eligible to apply for the SVTC scholarship to support post high school education.
