Si View Metropolitan Park District

Current Projects

Now in Progress

baqwab (Meadowbrook Prairie) Loop Trail – in design
The Cities of North Bend and Snoqualmie, in partnership with Si View Metropolitan Park District (SVMPD), and Meadowbrook Farm Preservation Association (MFPA), are increasing the number of pedestrian trails at Meadowbrook Prairie. This project includes trail connections through Meadowbrook Prairie to Snoqualmie Middle School, Centennial Fields Park, and the Meadowbrook Farm Interpretive Center. Under a separate grant, new interpretive signage was prepared in consultation with the Snoqualmie Tribe that helps to tell the rich history of the original Snoqualmie Prairie, baqwab, and its importance, management, and use by the Snoqualmie Tribe throughout history. The project design considers impacts to the Prairie Lands and wildlife, encouraging individuals using trails to be mindful and respectful while visiting the Prairie. This project is partially funded by King County Parks Levy Grant Program. Construction is planned for 2025. View project map here.

Si View Administration Building – in design
Si View administration has outgrown the caretaker's cottage located at Si View Park. Moving administration to a property across the street, between Orchard Drive SE and Cedar Falls Way, will make way for expanded programming space adjacent to the community center. This project is now in design, with construction slated for 2024.

Tollgate Farmstead – Under Construction
Tollgate Farmstead infrastructure improvements to support agricultural programming have been completed including a new barn and a public access point with a parking area near the Farmhouse. The final finishing touches with cabinetry and appliances for the Farmhouse kitchen are slated for later in 2024. Programs are now scheduled on this site, the Farmhouse will open when final work has been completed.

Tennant Trailhead Park – Under Construction
Please note that this site is closed during construction, we'll let you know as soon as trails are ready for riding and parking lot is accessible.
Tennant Trailhead Park is a 32-acre parcel on Rattlesnake Mountain that will offer trails for mountain biking and hiking as well as a picnic area and viewpoints. One of the key elements of this future park is a trail system of family focused mountain biking trails that are easy and short enough for absolute beginners yet provide progression through a future connection to the Raging River system for some truly epic riding experiences. These beginner trails will be a welcome addition to the local trail inventory, and best of all reachable on a bike from many of our local neighborhoods. We are excited for all the benefits this new park will provide for our community! Funded by Si View's capital bond, phase I construction of the trail system is now under construction with anticipated completion in Spring of 2024. The trailhead facilities and parking are funded by King County Parks.

Together with partners, additional grant funding has been secured from King County Parks Levy Open Space Grant Program for the WWRP Trails Grant Program for a later phase connecting Tennant Trailhead to the Raging River Trail system. The trailhead facilities and parking are funded by King County Parks and scheduled for completion in 2024.

North Bend Connector Trail – in design
Washington State DNR, in partnership with Si View Metropolitan Park District and Evergreen Mountain Bike Alliance, is improving the local trail system with a 5.65 mile pedestrian and mountain biking trail, linking Tennant Trailhead Park in the City of North Bend to Snoqualmie Point Park, Raging River State Forest and Rattlesnake Mountain Scenic Area. This project is designed to provide a high-quality user experience with a natural surface trail that accommodates two-way use by both mountain bikers and hikers. This project has received funding support from King County Parks Levy Capital and Open Space Program grant, and the Washington Wildlife and Recreation Program State Lands Development grant. This project is currently in design, with construction planned for 2024-2026.

Si View Park North Entrance – Construction in 2025
We are working to improve connectivity, aesthetics and pedestrian safety between Si View Park and William Henry Taylor Park by realigning the North entrance area of Si View Park. Removing the old "King County shed" and constructing a new maintenance building on the opposite side of the entrance will provide much needed space for District equipment to maintain the growing parks inventory and enhance the overall visitor experience when entering the park. This project is funded through the 2018 Capital Bond and our Capital Projects Fund with initial work launching in late 2021 and maintenance building construction in 2024. Temporary closures of the North entrance may be necessary during construction.

Edgewick Trail Connection – In Design
This non-motorized trail creates a connection from the Edgewick neighborhood near North Bend to the regional Snoqualmie Valley Trail near Rattlesnake Lake. The 0.3 mile forested trail improves recreation access for local residents. The District acquired this parcel for open space preservation with funding from the 2018 capital bond and the Conservation Futures grant program (CFT). Project construction funding is supported by a grant from the King County Parks Capital and Open Space Grant program.
