We are excited to build upon last years successful Spring Break Track program. Many of our runners from last year caught the itch for the sport of Track and Field which carried over into our season and All Comers Meets. We will go over the basics for running long and short distances while working in our field events including running long jump and turbo javelin. The final day of class we will host a mini-meet where kids can participate in all events and see how they have progressed throughout the week.
Calling all runners for your opportunity to showcase your ability at our annual three week series of track meets. Kids, parents, and family members are invited to attend our track meets presented by the Snoqualmie Valley Track Club. Each participant may enter up to 5 overall events per meet. These meets are a great segue to our track season in the late spring/summer not to mention a great family atmosphere for all to take part in. Pre-register for the full series and save! Great deal for our kids to participate in multiple track meets before the season begins.
Everyone get those running shoes and push off the starting blocks as summer is right around the corner which means some fun in the sun. Our track season begins June 4th with practices at Mount Si High School. Practices will be on Tuesdays while meets fall on Thursdays. Our club will host 1-2 meets this season while traveling to other programs within our league including Issaquah, Auburn, or Renton. SVTC provides a competitive environment for kids looking to improve their running technique as well as field events. Kids will compete in Olympic Events such as the 100m, 200m, 4x100 relay, etc. Registration fee will include a SVTC t-shirt to be worn at all meets.
Snoqualmie Valley Track Club is excited to expand to the fall season with a cross country program. This is our first attempt at an XC program and we are looking at competitions with Bellevue, Issaquah, and Auburn. Our focus will be on technique and working with kids to improve their endurance. We will practice twice a week with competitive meets taking place in October on Sundays and then the last Friday of the month.
Our track coaches are required to have some track and field coaching and/or playing experience with a time commitment of 3-4 hours during the week for roughly one month season. Coaches are required to be at practices as well as meets. Additional opportunities with Spring Break Track Program and All Comers Meets series.
