Si View Homeschool Classes

Homeschool Classes

Youth Theatre Homeschool
(2nd-6th grade)

Together, we will explore a variety of acting techniques as we create unique characters, situations, and stories. Through the use of creative games and exercises, students will learn theatrical methods, work on creative problem solving skills and use teamwork for a better understanding of the world of theatre arts!

Homeschool Art Works

Designed for both new and returning students, this comprehensive 8-week class is designed to meet National Core Arts Standards. Students will learn about and apply the elements of art and experience a variety of art media and techniques – including painting with watercolors and acrylics, drawing with pastels, and hand building with clay. With age-appropriate guidance, your artist will create unique works of art each day. The curriculum and projects are tailored to meet the needs of students of different ages. There might even be some fun homework! Class fee includes all child-friendly materials and kiln-firing. Some materials may be messy – please have your artist dress appropriately!

Si View Pool offers once a week swim lessons for homeschool students. Lessons are offered on Mondays and/or Wednesdays at 10:50AM or 1:45PM for students ages 6 and up. Homeschool siblings’ lessons for ages 3-5 are offered 10:15AM and 2:20PM on Mondays and/ or Wednesdays. For more information about swim lesson levels, please visit our Aquatics page.

Homeschool Clay Creations

In this class, your child will learn about and apply the four hand building methods, as well as some of the science behind clay, such as where it comes from and what happens when it’s fired in a kiln. With age-appropriate guidance, your artist will create and glaze a variety of unique projects. Projects are designed to meet the needs of students of different ages and abilities--no experience is necessary. Projects will be fired and returned on the last day of class. Clay can be messy — please have your artist dress accordingly! Please note: We make every effort to ensure successful clay art work, though we cannot guarantee all pieces will survive the firing process.

Volunteers Make a Difference
Volunteers are truly a gift to the community! Si View volunteers help with seasonal events and projects, from one time clean up parties to ongoing program assistance. Our youth basketball program alone, has over 100 volunteers each season assisting with coaching, refereeing and team coordination. We appreciate all our volunteers and invite YOU to join the team. Together we can do so much more!
