In this class, your child will learn about and apply the four hand building methods, as well as some of the science behind clay, such as where it comes from and what happens when it’s fired in a kiln. With age-appropriate guidance, your artist will create and glaze a variety of unique projects. Projects are designed to meet the needs of students of different ages and abilities--no experience is necessary. Projects will be fired and returned on the last day of class. Clay can be messy — please have your artist dress accordingly! Please note: We make every effort to ensure successful clay art work, though we cannot guarantee all pieces will survive the firing process.
