Parents: If you have any questions or concerns on the correct class for your child please don’t hesitate to call/email to ask. We are here to help and want everyone enrolled in the class that best suits their abilities.

Students enrolled in all dance classes are eligible to participate in our Spring recital tentatively scheduled on Saturday May 20th, with rehearsal and pictures scheduled for May 13th. Please note these are subject to change. A Recital Fee of $60/child/class (which includes costume) must be paid by cash or check (payable to Sara Werner) on the first day of class. If you can’t make the first day of class, please set up a time prior to classes starting to get measured and the fee paid. Dance Theatre

This is a great introduction to dance and theatre for both boys and girls. Learn the basic steps of jazz, hip hop and ballet while moving your body to the beat. Stretch your muscles and your imagination as you enjoy a class of fun and increase your creativity and coordination!

Come twirl and skip like a ballerina. This fun beginners class will offer the foundation for ballet. Students will learn ballet positions and build strength while making new friends dancing. Great for developing coordination and confidence.

These classes focus on the basic ballet vocabulary, emphasizing correct alignment. Barre-work, adagio and petite and grand allegro build strength and grace in a noncompetitive encouraging environment. Grace, style and ballet discipline will continue to be mastered.

Learn jazz steps and across the floor movements while developing a personal sense of artistic expression. For the more advanced students they will contribute to choreography and advance their performance skills.

Combo Dance Classes – Ballet, Tap, Jazz

Provides a great opportunity to explore a diversity of dance styles. Have fun experiencing the multiple disciplines of tap, ballet, jazz & hip hop. Please see the chart below for the different combinations of multiple disciplines in one class!

Students learn basic steps and terminology, build upon them to learn time steps, traveling rhythms, and syncopations. Noise, style and fun are the focus of this class.

This modern/lyrical class will focus on techniques from different modern masters, including Graham, Limon & Evans. Students will learn methods, choreography and improvisation while building their dance language and having fun!

More than just an advanced ballet class. In classical ballet when a dancer uses special shoes (called pointe shoes) to dance ‘en pointe’ (on their toes) they have reached a new level. This is for the serious intermediate/advanced student. Only those who are found qualified by the teacher can participate.

Hip Hop

Hip Hop is a fun, popular style of dance for boys and girls. In this class we will be focusing on establishing a good body rhythm and learning basic to intermediate pop choreography. Students will start learning how to control spins, perform leaps and learn choreography to top 40 pop singles.
