About Si View

Si View was built in 1938, during the Great Depression. Then, as now, the center served as the heart of the community. It houses programs for both young and old, such as Indoor Playground, senior water aerobics, swim lessons, baseball, soccer, teen nights, basketball, karate, adult fitness and arts classes, summer day camps and Family Nights, to name just a few.

The Si View Metropolitan Park District Commissioners signed the Interlocal Agreement with King County transferring ownership of the Si View Community Center and Pool to the Park District on May 21, 2003. Our community center now belongs to. . . our community!

Si View is one of ten parks and pools that King County closed in 2002. On February 4, 2003 the residents of the City of North Bend and the surrounding area had the opportunity to reopen Si View by forming a Metropolitan Park District.

The election results were overwhelming! 72% voted in favor of forming the park district and assuming ownership of Si View Park. Si View MPD now has five commissioners working hard to get Si View running smoothly and to get lots of cool activities and programs going for our community.

Our Mission

The mission of the Si View Metropolitan Park District is to work in partnership with the Community to preserve historic Si View Park and provide opportunities to enhance the quality of life through the facilitation of recreation programs and parks in the Snoqualmie Valley.
